Taking a trans-pacific flight pretty soon and modern mode of transportation has always surprised me. I mean, a big chunk of metal carrying hundreds of people and flying around the world multiple times is pretty impressive no matter how you look at it.
In light of that, here's a look back at 100 years of change (from 1913-2013, this infographic is two years old). Strangely, the only thing that hasn't really changed is the unemployment rate.
